| Spring is in the air and with it a fresh wave of updates for you all as we ready ourselves for Easter. Dad’s Lego Breakfast We are very excited to be hosting a monthly Dad’s Lego Breakfast starting this week (5th April) at Ascension. The breakfasts will run monthly on Saturday mornings from 10am-12noon and will be an opportunity for dads and male carers to connect and spend quality time with their kids and with lots of Lego! The cost is £1 entry per person which includes a bacon roll, tea, coffee and juice for the kids. Keep an eye on our website events page and social media for future dates. This Sunday (6th April) – Big Church Lunch and Marathon This Sunday we have our Big Church Lunch at 12:30pm, this is an opportunity to get to know other from within the church. Bring your lunch and join us as we spend time in fellowship together. Please note that due to the Southampton Marathon, there will be some local road closures, so do have a look at this link to see how this may affect your journey in, Parish Electoral Roll renewal Every parish in the Church of England has an Electoral Roll. This is the register of people who can vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) and stand for election to the PCC. If you call Ascension your home church, please do register before the end of the month using this link if you haven’t done so already, it only takes 5 minutes. If preferred there are paper forms available on the Welcome desk. Quiz & Chips Youth takeover The Ascension Youth will be organising a Quiz & Chips Night to raise money for the local charity Safe Families on Tuesday May 13th at 7pm. Tickets are available on our website. There will also be a Raffle, so if you can donate some fun, exciting and high-quality donations for the Raffle this would be wonderful—new items only please. Get in touch with the office for more information. Easter at Ascension Easter is the most important part of our church calendar each year. We have lots on over Holy Week that we would love to invite you. More details of all our services and events are available on our Easter Page.
