Clothes Bank

We’re pleased to host the Southampton City Mission Clothes Bank

We’re pleased to host the Southampton City Mission Clothes Bank.

The clothes bank is open on Wednesdays only, from 10.00am to 1.30pm.

Southampton City Mission is a Christian Mission and whilst they want everyone to know about the love and opportunity that Jesus has for them, they are committed to providing this practical help and assistance of food and clothes with no strings attached. They serve anyone of any background, belief or outlook and are happy to do so.

Southampton City Mission work with referral agents to provide emergency   clothes provision for those who fall through the gaps in the benefit net. All of the clothes are donated by churches, schools, the public and businesses.
Referral agents issue vouchers to people in need when they think it is appropriate. Social workers, health visitors, doctors, community workers, shelters, drop-ins, charities, churches and many others, use these vouchers to give help to those they work with.

Those with vouchers are then invited to visit the clothes bank and pick out the items they need.

As this isn’t a direct access project, please contact a social worker, health visitor or other referral agent as above to discuss being issued with a voucher.

If you’d like to donate clothes to the clothes bank, you’re welcome to do so here at the Ascension on Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm whilst the clothes bank is open.

Outside of this time, when the clothes bank is closed, please take donations to one of Southampton City Mission’s food bank venues. We cannot accept donations to the clothes bank when it is closed.

To contact the clothes bank team please email office@southamptoncitymission.co.uk or call 02380 550 435.
