Well it’s September, which means we call an end to the summer, finish our holidays, head back to work and wave goodbye to the sun. But instead of focusing on the negatives, I wonder if we could use this as an opportunity?
A new term can be a great time to reconsider life patterns. Katie was speaking the other week about how we need to work on our relationship with Jesus. It doesn’t happen by accident or by itself. We need to work at it.
This means committing to practices of prayer and spiritual formation. These aren’t themselves a relationship with Jesus, but they provide a sturdy scaffold upon which to build one. What practice might we commit to, maybe for two minutes a day or ten minutes once a week, that will help us stretch our spiritual muscles?
